Sirius Canada has just added Audi Canada to its growing list of exclusive, long-term vehicle agreements that will see its satellite radio receivers available as a factory option in 2007 model year vehicles. Starting in early 2007, a number of Audi vehicles sold in Canada will offer a factory-installed Sirius satellite radio receiver, along with a three-month subscription to the service. These include the A3, A4 sedan (Avant and Cabriolet), S4 sedan (Avant and Cabriolet models), RS4, A6 sedan and A6 Avant, S6, Q7 performance SUV, flagship A8, A8 L, and S8 and A8 L W12, and the upcoming TT Coupe and Roadster. Sirius says that by late summer 2007, virtually all Audi Canada vehicles will be able to be equipped with Sirius satellite radio. New Audi TT Photos and Info
Last night Audi snuck a press release and dozens of photos of its hot new TT coupe across the wires. As evident by the photos, this is a completely redesigned model from the previous generation, with plenty of new performance goodies for sports car fans. The rakish looks don't hurt either. There will be two engine choices: the base 200-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder that's impressed us in the Audi A4 and A3, and, for those who want a bit more, a 3.2-liter V-6 that brings 50 additional horsepower to the table. The V-6 will also come with Audi's Quattro all wheel drive. Expect the TT to appear in showrooms in early 2007. Edmunds.com Looks Back at 2006 and Forecasts 2007 Automotive Trends
Despite many recent new product introductions, most of the vehicles on the lists were also among the most researched in 2005. Newcomers to the 2006 list are the Chevrolet Tahoe and Toyota RAV4, which were both redesigned for 2007, and the Toyota FJ Cruiser and Toyota Yaris, two new vehicles introduced this year. Audi Reports Record November Sales
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Audi of America, Inc. today reported sales of 9,209 for the month of November, making it the best November in the company's history. Sales are up 16.4% over the same period in 2005. For the calendar year to date, Audi sales total 78,219, up 5.4% over 2005. Audi is on pace to set a sales record this year. The Audi A4 and Audi Q7 models set the sales pace for the brand. A4 sales totaled 5,124, an increase of 13.0% year-over-year, and consumers purchased 2,019 Audi Q7 SUVs. Since its launch in June, sales of the Audi Q7 have reached 7,682 units. "Consumers have three great reasons to put the Audi A4 on their shopping lists," said Johan de Nysschen, Executive Vice President of Audi of America. "The A4 was recently named a 'Top Safety Pick' by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the A4 delivers class-leading residuals, and when equipped with the 2.0 liter TFSI engine, the A4 has best-in-class fuel economy." Audi Certified Pre-Owned sales also closed the month strong.
TESTED: Lexus IS250
It is hard not to take notice of the fresh Lexus onslaught on the local market with a complete range of new cars which all feature striking designs. The model that stands out most, and which is also the brand's "bread and butter" derivative, is the IS250. This car is Lexus's main weapon against the German gang as it attempts to steal sales from the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class. The IS is an all-new car and takes over from a model which has been around for seven years but which was never really competitive to take on the Germans. However, the new model is not only bigger and better looking but also stiffer, making it a more realistic rival. Currently one engine derivative, a 2.5-litre V6 is available, but buyers can choose from two trim levels. Our test car was the range-topping SE version.
Audi production planned for India
Frankfurt, Germany - Audi is planning to assemble its A6 sedans at Skoda's Aurangabad site in India in 2007 with production rising to 300 a year in 2008. The cars will be sent to India in pieces and built there and a distribution centre created in Mumbai on the west coast to service, eventually, eight dealers. "India is one of the most important growth markets of the future," distribution and marketing chief Ralph Weyler said. "We're planning to sell around 3000 cars a year by 2010." Sales of Audi's A4, A6, A8 and Q7 models india are expected to total 300 in India by the end of 2006. - Reuters

Audi to start production in India next yr, float sales co
New Delhi, Dec 18: German luxury car maker Audi today said it will start production of vehicles in India by next year, utilisng group company Skoda's facility at Aurangabad and would float a new sales company."In autumn of 2007, Audi is set to start assembling the Audi A6 for the Indian market in Aurangabad," the Volkswagen group company said in a statement, adding it would take the completely knocked down (CKD) route."This move gives us the opportunity to better fulfill our potential on this market. Through supplying the part sets, our locations back in Germany will also benefit," Audi Ag Board Member (production) Jochem Heizmann said.The company said in the first full year of production by 2008, it expected to assemble over 300 units of its luxury sedan A6 and sell about 3,000 units by 2010.
Audi to begin producing A6 model in India next year
FRANKFURT, Germany -- Audi AG, the luxury car maker mostly owned by Volkswagen AG, said Monday that it plans to start production of its popular A6 model in India during 2007. The Ingolstadt-based company said it would start assembling the car in Aurangabad using parts made in Germany, with the finished product sold to Indian car buyers. "This move gives us the opportunity to better fulfill our potential on this market," Audi board member Jochem Heizmann said in a statement. "Through supplying the parts sets, our locations back in Germany will also benefit." Assembly line workers will be trained in Germany before production starts at the SkodaAuto India Ltd. factory. Audi also plans to expand its dealer network in India from its current three -- in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi -- to eight by 2008.
