| Hofele Single-Frame voorbumpers voor A6 4B C5 en A4 B6 8E
Say what? With these new front bumpers, Hofele-Design now offers the Single-Frame look of the newest Audi generation for all the models of the older Audi generation. As common, Hofele-Design uses the genuine Audi front grills for the new bumpers to get an authentic look. The special thing about all Hofele-Design front bumpers is the fact that genuine parts like the hood, fenders and lights are not affected by the conversion and can be kept. This reduces the conversion costs dramatically.

In fact, the RS 4 is faster -- going from 0 to 60 miles an hour in just 4.8 seconds -- than even Audi's flagship large sedan, the A8, with its V-8 or 12-cylinder engine, according to Audi performance statistics.Turning a compact, four-door car into a stunning sports car puts Audi and its RS 4 performance experts at quattro GmbH in Germany in some rarefied company.German carmaker BMW sells a 2007 BMW M5, for example, that's a mid-size sedan with a 500-horsepower, V-10 engine.
Lexus GS450h fails Auto Motor und Sport braking test
I've noticed a lot of people criticizing the Lexus GS for poor brakes on this website. Today, my Auto Motor und Sport arrived and they had a test of a bunch of cars including the Lexus GS450h in there. Specifically, they wanted to test the braking distance and quality of the brakes. The GS placed 8/10, with the last two cars being midsized SUV's (Hyundai Santa Fe / Chevrolet Captiva). The GS brakes were described as weak and having a delayed response time. The brake pedal was also lifeless and offered no feedback. The Results (The word in the parenthesis indicates the AMS description of the brakes / braking distance)1st Place: Audi Q7 4.2 FSI (Good)2nd Place: Toyota Yaris 1.3 (Good)3rd Place: VW Eos 2.0 TFSI Good)4th Place: Peugeot 207 110 Sport Good)5th Place: Mercedes E220 CDI Good)6th Place: Ford S-Max 2.0 TDCI Good)7th Place: Fiat Grande Punto 1.9 JTD Sport (Adequate)8th Place: Lexus GS450h (Poor)9th Place: Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 CRDI (Poor)10th Place: Chevrolet Captiva (Poor)I thought you guys would like to read about this.
Audi Q7: Watch out for all those options!
Audi was a late arrival at the SUV party with its Q7 but luckily for the four-ringed brand the shindig is showing no signs of ending given the continuing popularity of such go-anywhere luxury behemoths. Audi's cute Q7 catchphrase reads: "For 25 years Audi has created quattro for its cars. Now, it's created a car for quattro." The question is whether it offers anything new or innovative in the SUV game. I think it has more exuberant styling than the typical blob-shaped SUV, particularly at the front with its super-sized, gnashing oval grille. It looks like a super-sized RS4 .
Top ten cars for 2006
This has been a hell of a year for new car introductions, with as many as four a week being launched onto the SA market (with the exception of Auto Africa, where about 50 new cars saw the light of day). Choosing our top 10 has been no easy task.
Audi RS4
However choosing the winner was no problem at all. Without doubt the closest thing on the road to an out-and-out competition car is the Audi RS4.
This monster machine has a 309 kW V8 engine producing monstrous power, allied to quattro four-wheel drive and the best brakes we have ever sampled.
The RS4 can jet from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 16.6 seconds. It's electronically limited to 250 km/h.
It looks racy too and the RS4 comes with beefy wheel-arches, flashy wheels, and pumped-up shark-like spoiler gills which give it a pimped look.
The Alternative Car of the Year titles go to...
After three weeks of furious online voting and speculation, South Africa's three most personality-injected new car models have been outed in wheels24.co.za's 'Alternative Car of the Year' online poll. At the finish line, the pert Peugeot 207 was named 'gayest' car, the buff Audi RS4 strutted in as 'straightest' and the scrumptious derriere of the Alfa Romeo Brera kicked butt for the 'rear of the year' title. The Alternative Car of the Year campaign, conducted in partnership with Road Angel Navigator, SA's premier in-car global positioning system (GPS), recorded over 16 000 votes during the period - a record response from the public for an online motoring campaign. So, what made this online poll such a runaway success among the South African public?
Wilmer , editor of Wheels24 - 24.com's premier niche motoring portal and South Africa's most popular local online destination for automotive news - says that our car-crazy society is quick to judge people based on their choice of wheels.
Adrenaline pumps: All three cars are fun to drive but the 335i ...
The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada holds an annual comparison test every October to determine Car and Truck of the Year honours for a variety of vehicles. Over the next few weeks, we'll offer some of the journalists' views on cars and trucks in different categories. Today, John LeBlanc takes a look at the best new sports and performance cars over $60,000. - - - This category included the BMW M Coupe, Audi RS4 and BMW 335i Coupe. Following are my top picks: Third place: BMW M Coupe The hardtop version of BMW's M roadster creates a philosophical question: What is a sporty car? Others here put up similar performance numbers, but the rear-drive, two-seat M coupe represents the classical sports car motif: i.e., it can be hard to drive at times.
Audi drives S models at BIC
Audi will hold a three-week driving event at the Bahrain International Circuit to demonstrate its new Audi S models, Trade Arabia reported. The Audi S4 and S4 Cabriolet, the A6 and the S8, the sports version of the A8, will be put through their paces by regional media, VIPs and potential customers. .
Car Hack's Notebook: Covering the Essen Show, Day Two
Volkswagen Audi Group can feel a bit slighted not to be the first port of call on the Essen show, but even a four-wheel drive, 300 hp battle wagon can't make a huge impression in this company. Still, the Passat R36 is a serious piece of kit in its own right, and should be an enticing alternative for those who want the performance but not the price premium that goes with Audi S4 ownership. It's a near-perfect Q car, especially in Touring form. Only the deep airdams, dinner-plate brake discs and mildly revised aero kit give away the violence held within. There are faster cars in the world, but no faster VW, this one will hit 60mph in 5.6s and go on to the standard 155mph top end. Audi bought the 3.2-litre TT Roadster, as well as taking the R8 on its world tour, and a second look at the most eagerly anticipated supercar for many a year reveals an "unresolved" front end, as the clever mags like to call it.

Hearts coach ruling delayed
HEARTS head coach Valdas Ivanauskas has had his sentencing on a speeding charge delayed because a printout of his driving licence has not yet turned up. Perth District Court was told that a printout of his driving licence details had been ordered, but had not yet arrived from the DVLA. Ivanauskas was due to be sentenced today after he admitted speeding at 97mph in his Audi S4 on the M90 in Perthshire. The case was put off until January 17, when he could be banned from driving.
