3 purses stolen at Pines gas station

While a woman pumped gas into her 2006 Honda CRV at the Amoco ACA station at 12500 Pines Blvd. between 12:40 and 12:50 p.m. Nov. 7, someone opened the unlocked passenger door and stole her purse from the seat.

The black purse, valued at $350, contained $300 in cash and other items.

During the same time period, a burglar entered an unlocked Chrysler Sebring convertible at a pump and stole a black purse valued at $150. It contained $100 in cash and identification documents.

Both victims described a white Dodge Magnum occupied by two men.

Between noon and 12:15 p.m. Nov. 14, while a woman entered the station to get a receipt, someone opened the unlocked door of her 2006 Lexus GX470 and stole her Louis Vuitton purse.

The purse and its contents were valued at $100.

Back in 04 when Daimler Chrysler launched the 300 and Magnum, I was beside myself for actually liking a domestic car. More than like, I was in love. These cars had the style, the power and the handling to give almost any car in its class a run for its money. The US hasn't had a hot domestic wagon since before I was born (I'm 31). Previous to the Magnum, the only sexy wagons in the US market wore BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Volvo badges. The Europeans just know how to do wagons.

Prisoner Of Love? Officer & Convict Arrested

(CBS4) NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE A South Florida corrections officer is out of a job and facing grand theft auto charges after police say she was found in a stolen vehicle with her boyfriend, who happened to be a former inmate at the Miami-Dade prison where she worked.Police say Samantha Manin, 36, and convicted burglar Kyle Himes, 21, were found in a stolen Dodge Magnum that police think was used in a bank robbery. Authorities in Hialeah made the arrests last week.Police say they met at the South Florida Reception Center, where Manin worked and Himes served time for a string of burglaries.Himes was released November but arrested soon after in Nassau County for allegedly taking part in a bank heist. Police say his getaway vehicle was a black 2005 Dodge Magnum stolen from a nearby dealer.When police tracked Himes to Manin's home, Hialeah police Officer Giovanni Fuente saw the couple in the stolen Dodge and pulled them over.

Mudbugs partner with Dodge for All-Star fan contest

Magnum wagon may hide a Hemi

Looking more like a one-off from a California custom shop than a production vehicle, the Dodge Magnum has changed the way we think of station wagons.
While wagons have been enjoying a rebirth of sorts, it took the Magnum to make curb standers stop and stare. From the front it looks beefy and powerful; while its profile is tapered and sleek. It's a little bit hearse and a little bit sports sedan. It can serve as a family hauler for those wishing to avoid the stigma of a minivan or the lackluster fuel economy of an SUV, but it can also be nearly as satisfying to pilot as a European performance sedan.
If blending in is your goal, look elsewhere. The Magnum will be noticed and so will you.
