Ferrari 328 Car

Audi Q7: Watch out for all those options!

Audi was a late arrival at the SUV party with its Q7 but luckily for the four-ringed brand the shindig is showing no signs of ending given the continuing popularity of such go-anywhere luxury behemoths. Audi's cute Q7 catchphrase reads: "For 25 years Audi has created quattro for its cars. Now, it's created a car for quattro." The question is whether it offers anything new or innovative in the SUV game. I think it has more exuberant styling than the typical blob-shaped SUV, particularly at the front with its super-sized, gnashing oval grille. It looks like a super-sized RS4 .

KTM X-Bow, Big engine and many wheels

We heard about this car coming from KTM a little while ago. Now these are the images. It's orange and it's sporty so it must be a KTM! Well, it's not all KTM actually. The engine is a VW 2Litre from the Golf GTI and the transmission is also from VW. The engine produces 220hp, but can be upgraded to a 300hp version (same as in Audi S3). .

Nick Hogan Smokes Mom

The spawn of Hulk met his mother for lunch yesterday at the ultimate celebrity eatery, The Ivy. As the Hogans left to go their seperate ways -- Nick jumped into a suped-up Dodge Viper, while his mom climbed into the back of an ancient red SUV. Not very fabulous.Nick then peeled out hard into traffic, leaving a cloud of burnt rubber smoke in the street. Imagine what this kid will be like if he starts hanging out with Paris Hilton! .

Pickup truck hit by bullet on I-96

BRIGHTON - Michigan State Police at the Brighton post are asking the public for help in identifying the person who fired a shot that hit a pickup truck traveling west on I-96 just east of US-23 Monday night.

Troopers said a 49-year-old Howell man heard a noise at 9:35 p.m. as he drove his 2004 Chevrolet Colorado, then his engine warning light came on.

He pulled over and found a bullet hole in his vehicle. Police found what they believe is a slug from a .45-caliber handgun lodged in a small electrical box in his engine compartment.

Sgt. Angela Hunt said police don't know whether the shooting was intentional or accidental, and did not receive any reports of shots fired in the surrounding area, which she described as wooded.

She said the driver did not report any road rage incident that might have led to the shooting, and said he was not injured.

Snow ups ante for drivers on dangerous highway

MAT-SU - The Palmer-Wasilla Highway is a 9.75-mile strip of asphalt for strangers to meet - and then exchange insurance information. After four days of snow, here is the tally from Alaska State Troopers, who were kept fairly busy cleaning up the aftermath of crashes, according to their reports. In three and a half hours Tuesday afternoon, troopers responded to three crashes involving six vehicles.About 2 p.m., troopers responded to a crash near the Hyer Road intersection. Dave Eller, 18, of Palmer was turning left onto the highway from Hyer Road in a 1998 Dodge pickup. Corinna Schachle, 39, of Wasilla, was heading west in a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban when she struck Eller's truck. Troopers issued no citations, and reported all occupants wore seat belts and had no injures. The SUV and the truck each received about $2,000 damage, the report said.At 3:19, Ashley Semler, 18, of Wasilla, was heading west near the Trunk Road intersection in a 2002 Chevrolet Impala.

F1 review of the year

With defending champion Fernando Alonso already having established a 25-point championship lead, the 2006 Formula One World Championship looked to be all over in June. source: skysports.comDespite a resurgent Ferrari and Michael Schumacher having won two races earlier in the season, four successive victories for the Renault driver early in the summer suggested that back-to-back titles would be achieved at a canter. But if Alonso and Renault were expecting the second half of the season to turn into a coronation, they reckoned without the sudden improvement found by the Ferrari-Bridgestone combination mid-season.Of course, Schumacher was always likely to extract every ounce from his F248, with five more wins coming the German's way. Perhaps of greater surprise was the maturity displayed by team-mate Felipe Massa, the Brazilian improving by the race and taking wins in Turkey and Brazil. With a ban on Renault's 'mass damper' system and the dubious penalty received by Alonso for blocking Massa in qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix, it seemed as though, from a near-impregnable position, their season might fall apart. With Ferrari also announcing Schumacher's retirement at Monza, the prospect of an eighth world title gained against the odds appeared irresistible. However it was not to be for the 37-year-old, Schumacher succumbing to a rare Ferrari engine failure whilst leading the Japanese Grand Prix, with Alonso inheriting a victory that suddenly transformed a likely two-point championship deficit into a 10-point lead.A second-place finish at the Brazilian Grand Prix then confirmed the 25-year-old as the sport's youngest-ever back-to-back champion, with Renault also capturing consecutive constructors' titles. But the truth is that 2006 was not about Alonso v Schumacher, or even Renault v Ferrari.

WORTH PRICE OF ENTRY / BMW 335i coupe eats up bad roads

It's not a bad way to get your attention: Walk into a morning new car briefing on the fourth floor terrace of San Francisco's St. Regis Hotel and there, inside a big white tent, in front of the breakfast buffet table, is a shiny example of the new BMW 335i coupe.

Huh? Four stories up? Why not? And, no, it didn't come up in the freight elevator. BMW hired a crane -- a very big crane -- to lift a ton and a half of autobahn cruiser four floors in the air and plop it on the terrace so the 60 auto journos assembled for BMW's "national launch" of this new car would have the star of the show sitting there, just to make sure the point of the exercise was not lost.

And it did make a point. (Carmakers, an extremely competitive lot, like to go out of their way to make a point, which BMW did by hoisting a navy blue car in the dead of night high up to a hotel terrace.) It was impressive, but not nearly as impressive as a day spent driving this new beast, up through rural Marin County to Bodega Bay, then back down Highway 101.
