| A Fresh Start for Peugeot's Sports Promotion Program in 2007
Unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Show, the 207 RCUP provided a foretaste of the Super 2000 which started life in Peugeot Sport's workshops last March. As part of the development programme of this feline newcomer – which is aimed at Peugeot subsidiaries and privateer – it took part as a 'zero car' in the 2006 Antibes and Condroz Rallies. Since then, testing has continued and the 207 Super 2000 recently received the FIA's indispensable seal of approval in the form of official homologation on February 1, 2007. Orders for around twenty cars have already been taken from subsidiaries and privateer buyers looking to compete either in the IRC or at national level. Their numbers include Peugeot Spain who will run two cars in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge for Spaniard Enrique Garcia Ojeda and France's Nicolas Vouilloz.

Peugeot preps peppy 207 RC for Geneva
Peugeot will drop its latest hot hatch on us at Geneva next month with the debut of the 207 RC. After bringing you the skinny on the peppy little hatchback last month with early leaked photos, parent company PSA has been nice enough to give us the full monty ahead of the show, where they'll be releasing a number of new models. The heart of the 207 RC is the same engine as the top-of-the-line MINI Cooper S, a 1.6-liter high-pressure turbo four pumping out 175 stallions. The engine was co-developed by PSA and BMW, and although the MINI's is coupled to a six-speed shifter, Peugeot has opted for five ratios instead. The corporate spec sheet claims the new Pug makes the run to 62 mph in 7.1 seconds and tops out of 136 mph. Conclusion, press release aftter the jump.[Source: Peugeot] .
Opening’ time for Peugeotâ™s 207 CC
The 207 CC will be available at launch with two petrol engines and one diesel engine combined with two trim levels - Sport and GT. Both of the petrol engines have been developed as part of the co-operation between PSA Peugeot Citroën and the BMW Group and introduce technology not normally found in this market segment. The first engine, and the one which is expected to be the most popular choice, is the 1.6-litre 120 bhp petrol engine. This engine has greater performance across the range than the previous 1.6 litre petrol engine fitted to the 206 CC and with a combined drive cycle fuel consumption figure of 43.5 mpg, reduces fuel consumption and emissions by eight per cent and seven per cent respectively. The second petrol engine is the 1.6-litre 150 bhp THP petrol turbo-charged engine first seen in the 207 GT THP 150 hatchback.
Peugeot 207 GTi THP 175, 4007 SUV and 207 SW Outdoor
The 77th International Motor Show in Geneva is always an important event for Peugeot and this year the brand will be revealing no less than three new body styles of the 207 range, along with its new sport utility vehicle (SUV) – the 4007. Each one demonstrates Peugeot's desire to extend the appeal of its products with a full choice of stylish vehicles (CC, GTi, SW and SUV). World Premieres for 207 The 207, launched in the UK in June 2006, has quickly become a sales success with some 334,000 produced in 2006. This appeal continues with three new models on show. Two of them will be in showrooms soon – the 207 CC and the 207 GTi, while the third – the 207 SW Outdoor Concept is an illustration of what could be a future model dedicated to leisure and dynamism. The 207 CC is a worthy successor to the best-selling 206 CC, of which 360,000 units were sold.
Geneva Peek: Peugeot 207 SW Outdoor concept
While Peugeot calls its 207 SW Outdoor a concept, there's little doubt that the Geneva-bound show car is a very good look at the upcoming 207 SW production car. Nix some of that glitzy metallic blue and bright orange trim, and you're pretty much there. The 207 SW Outdoor gets some additional ground clearance a la the Audi Allroad or Subaru Outback to give it a soft-roader look. Peugeot says that the car's greenhouse, which includes a glass panoramic roof panel, is meant to help "bring the outdoors in" and create a bright, welcoming environment for occupants. In terms of innovation, the car features a single-movement fold-flat second row seat, and the tailgate glass opens independently of the rear hatch itself. We wouldn't look for the parachute silk seat and door panel coverings to make it to production, but the car's 1.6L HDi 16v diesel with particulate filter is a good bet.
